Tinnitus causes people to hear persistent sounds that aren’t easily identifiable in their environment. Often referred to as a ringing, buzzing, whooshing, or hissing sound, tinnitus can actually present itself as any tone that is not being caused by something external. Tinnitus can result from head and neck injuries, certain medications, exposure to loud sounds, eardrum perforation, and various health conditions, but the cure for it is as elusive as its source.
We understand how hard it can be to live with Tinnitus, and in our office we are currently using a variety of clinical methods to help ease those sounds that make concentrating, sleeping, and your daily activities more difficult. Although we have yet to find a complete cure, there have been many advancements in the treatment of tinnitus.
